Cannabidiol or CBD is the main substance in CBD oil. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which you’ll find in medical marijuana, CBD does not have psychoactive effects.

A number of factors influence how effective and how long CBD oil takes to work.

For starters, the actual symptom(s) that you are trying to alleviate influences how much you may need, and long it will take to feel the effects of CBD oil.

CBD oil that is taken sublingually (under the tongue) is a very fast way to feel the effects of the oil. It is then directly absorbed into the bloodstream without having to go through the digestive system or liver to be metabolized.

Full Spectrum Whole Plant Extracts Work Best

Studies show that CBD only is somewhat effective, but full spectrum strains or the whole plant extract not only provides faster and better relief, the effects also last longer.

The Entourage Effect is the result of the numerous natural chemicals, including cannabinoids, flavonoids, terpenes, and fatty acids naturally found in cannabis plants, including hemp.

The Entourage Effect refers to the beneficial effect of all these compounds working together as opposed to just one or two of these compounds working in isolation.
